Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is rapidly finding its way into engineering processes. In safety engineering, however, the challenge is not simply generating plausible answers. The key question is whether AI can support safety-critical tasks in a way that remains transparent, reviewable, and trustworthy.

This year marks the 25th edition of Safetronic, proving that the topic of safety is best addressed within a community of experts. Here, those who consistently set the course for greater road safety have been able to – and continue to – have detailed discussions. Women spend around a quarter more of their lives in poor health than men, and for many conditions the path to a diagnosis still takes years. One reason is a data problem: women remain underrepresented in clinical evidence, and the symptom patterns that matter most are often the hardest to describe in a short appointment.
